How To Get Started
Beginning therapy is easier than you think
Starting therapy can feel like a big step, but you don't have to figure it out alone. We'll guide you through every part of the process, from your first phone call to your child's first session. Here's how it works.
If you plan to use insurance to cover your child's therapy, here's what to expect.
Using Your Insurance
-
Ready to get started? Join our waitlist to begin the process. You'll receive an email response with next steps, including how to complete your onboarding through our secure patient portal.
Prefer to talk first? Please contact us, there's no cost and no referral needed just to reach out.
-
Before the first visit, you will complete a few forms through our secure patient portal, including intake, our HIPAA privacy notice, and practice policies. It's quick, simple, and all done online.
Click here to access the patient portal.
-
Most insurance plans require a referral (also called a prescription or order) for occupational therapy from your child's physician. This is simply a note from your child's doctor stating that they recommend an OT evaluation. If you're not sure how to get one, we're happy to request it on your behalf using an easy form within our patient portal.
-
Once we have your referral and insurance information, we'll help confirm your coverage and explain your benefits.
-
We'll schedule a comprehensive OT evaluation in your child's natural environment, such as your home, daycare, or community setting.
-
After the evaluation, we'll review our findings, create a personalized plan of care, and begin supporting your child's growth.
Private-Pay
Prefer not to use insurance?
No problem. Cash-pay families can skip the referral process and get started right away. Simply give us a call and we'll schedule your appointment and walk you through everything you need to know.
Wondering if OT could help your child? Reach out anytime, no pressure and no referral needed to ask.
